"there's always something new with you"

a lot of time ago, my mom came to the us from vietnam, and my dad came to the us from beijing, and after they met (at CU Denver of all places) they both started businesses and brought me into existence in littleton, colorado, where i was immediately, and for the next 16 years, bored out of my mind and constantly looking for a way out. i was overflowing with curiosity and ambition, both characteristics that are unfortunately incompatible with the suburbs.

my hunger for more brought me to brown university, where i met the best people i've ever met (so far) and have had the chance to do things that my younger self would have killed to do. now, i'm working in whatever interests me, whether that's public policy and law or consulting and building businesses. mostly my goal for the rest of my life is to learn as much as i can, meet interesting people, do what interests me, say yes to everything that scares me, and change systems and lives for the better along the way.

for the rest of my time at brown, i plan to go on as many side quests as possible, create exciting things, get roped into a few passion projects here or there (like theatre- unsure how that happened), continue meeting life-changing people, and hopefully be that life-changing person for whoever i cross paths with.

or, as my brother put it, to live a life that my 8 and my 80 year old self would be proud of.
